个人简介

1981年获美国乔治亚理工学院电气工程专业博士学位,现任美国德克萨斯大学阿灵顿分校电气工程系教授,自动化及机器人研究所主任,美国德克萨斯州的注册职业工程师,Chartered Engineer U.K. Eng. Council。他是IEEE Fellow,International Federation of Automatic Control(IFAC)Fellow,U.K. Institute of Measurement & Control(InstMC)Fellow。现担任Automatica,IEEE Trans. Neural networks,IET Control Theory & Applications,Journal of Control Theory and Applications副主编,多个国际期刊的编委以及多个国际会议的主席/副主席。获得6项美国专利,在国际一流刊物上发表期刊论文250篇,撰写专著章节或百科全书文章共51部,在国际会议上发表论文364篇,撰写专著15部。

教育经历

1971年,获得莱斯大学物理与电气工程专业学士学位

1971年,获得莱斯大学电气工程学硕士学位

1977年,获得西佛罗里达大学航空航天系统专业理学硕士学位

1981年,获得乔治亚理工学院控制系统、电气工程专业博士学位

讲授课程

最优控制、智能控制、线性控制系统、非线性控制系统、分布式控制与决策、控制系统、系统辨识与估计。

主要研究方向

智能控制、分布式控制、神经网络和模糊系统、无线传感器网络、非线性系统、机器人技术、过程控制。

学术兼职和荣誉

任美国电气和电子工程师协会(IEEE)会士,国际自动控制联合会 (IFAC)会士,英国测量与控制学会会士,美国德克萨斯州注册专业工程师,英国特许工程师,德克萨斯州立大学阿灵顿分校杰出学者学会的创办人(2004),自动化与机器人研究所的高级研究员。地中海控制协会的董事理事会的创始会员。曾担任希腊德谟克利特大学的访问教授,香港科技大学,香港中文大学,香港城市大学,新加坡国立大学,南洋理工大学。曾任上海交通大学和华南理工大学的客座咨询教授。

学术成果

获得6项美国专利,在国际一流刊物上发表期刊论文250篇,撰写专著章节或百科全书文章共51部,在国际会议上发表论文364篇,撰写专著15部。
