The scientific research of the college mainly involves advanced automation control theory and application, intelligent control theory and application, motion control technology, process control system, detection technology and automationinstrument, measurement and control technology in -network environment, intelligent information processing and application, intelligent transportation and so on. In the recent years, the college takes on projects supported by National 863 Program, National Program of Support for Science and Technology , NSFC, Provincial Program of Support for science and technology. The college also cooperates with the Xichang Satellite Launch Center, the 7th institute of CASC, China Silian Instrument Group Co. Ltd, Panzhihua Iron&Steel Group Co. etc. These cooperations have enhanced the scientific, technological, educational and economic development of western China. We build an open scientific research environment, and produceacademic leader and excellent scientific research group. A lot of scientific and technological achievements which are of international or national advanced level have been obtained. We have published more than 300 papers in journals or conferences, and 3 monographs. We also held or co-organized several international and national academic conferences.
