陈刚，男，汉族，重庆市人，工学博士，教授，博士生导师，现任控制理论与控制工程系 系主任（2016年9月－现在）；IEEE会员，自动化学会会员。2006年毕业于浙江大学，获控制科学与工程专业博士学位。同年到重庆大学自动化学院参加工作。2009年至2010年到美国德州大学分校的ARRI研究所从事科研工作。现为重庆大学自动化学院教授。

主持国家自然科学基金面上项目，教育部高校博士点科研基金，重庆市自然科学基金等十余项科研项目；先后在国际期刊，国内期刊上发表论文50余篇；授权发明专利10余项；荣获教育部高度学校科技进步二等奖一项，重庆市自然科学一等奖和二等奖各1项。
